Because every board needs a lovely introduction thread. Jump right in!
I'm Mars, creator of this lovely forum. 15 this year, still in school. And I get frees this year! (No seriously, you've no idea how excited I am about this. While all of my friends are in class, I'm allowed to sit with computers and muck around? Hell yeah!)
Uh, anyway, the point is that frees should help with forum running and writing. Yes.
No idea what I'm writing for MarNo this year. Oops. Should get that fixed soon! Most likely it'll be involving Lucas and Rae - two characters which you'll meet in my PPT.
How about you?

Siana, 29, goat dairy farmer. This month I'm going to have a go at planning and rewriting the story I was working on this time last year. I've also got two incomplete first drafts from February that are probably going to demand some progress. I'm not going to start something completely new this month.
I hope.

Hey, all. I'm Agent Double Oh Zero, a.k.a. Bobo the Bard. I am doing milwordy this year, so I am doing as many wrimos as I can!
I will probably cheat and continue writing the story I started in February, since the overall plot is going very slowly, since I am sort of...iteratively pantsing and planning at the same time.
...But wow, am I missing something? I haven't seen any updates here since Jan. 11th, almost a month. Where is everyone?

Hopefully some people are going to turn up soon. There were a few last year.

But since this place is empty...

I thought I'd try a wrimo in March and found this site (updated from the older one) and I'll be working on a fantasy romance, just started it but realized it needs some planning work before I continue, so I'll spend the last few days in Feb. to plan before working on the next chapter/s in March.

I'm here as well. I'm going to try to do Marchno for my writing, and also be plotting on a new site that Agent Double Oh Zero and I are creating just for plotting and planning. It's almost ready to launch. At the latest, it will launch on March 1, 2012.
I've been writing seriously since the summer of 1999. So far I haven't been published, but I did have two publishing contracts in 2008, but things went south, and I lost both contracts. I write about vampires, werewolves and other creatures, but I don't write horror. There's more romance than horror in my world.
I'm working on a murder mystery, my first, and I know that genre really should have intensive planning and plotting to make sure you tie up all loose ends and actually catch the killer. LOL
Well, I guess that's enough for now.

Maybe. We won't know for sure until after March starts.

nicolet, I'm not sure. I'm checking back periodically, but how often I do so depends on whether anyone shows up on March 1st.

Greetings! I'm ready to write...
Maybe a post that explains how it works would be helpful. For example, is there a place that I post the actual writing? Or just a word count?
I am very uncertain as to what the protocols and actions are here, as it's a little different from the official nanowrimo site.
Anyway, I'm Sandi and I'll also be writing a fantasy novel.

Hey, Sandi!
It works pretty similarly to NaNo. I don't see a place to write down your word goal like in FebNo, but there's a section called Personal Progress Threads (you'll see them referred to as PPTs on a lot of proboards wrimos), where you periodically write down how you're doing. Anyway, you determine your own goal, and it's pretty much the honor system when it comes to determining whether you met it.
You don't post your novel here. You can post short excerpts of your work on your PPT, but be careful how much you post. I don't know what kind of writing you do, but whatever you do post, be sure not to post anything explicit, as it is against Proboards policy. PG13 should be okay.
---
This year, I'll be writing a gothic steampunk novel that I started this month, in February. Hopefully, I'll actually finish this time!

Oh goodness, even the tumbleweed has asked for a day off because it's got nowhere to go.
Siana, I finally figured out what that picture was after you mentioned hypnotic cat! XD
