*meep* April? I am just trying to get out of March in one piece!
Of course, given my insane tendency to shoot myself in the foot, I'll probably sign in solely to fail dismally. :-P

^Heh; same here.
I'm definitely going to do Camp (June Camp 2012 was the first time I did NaNo and what got me back into writing, so I have a certain affection for them), but I have no clue what I'm going to work on. I could finish the draft I did for last year's November NaNo, or I could work on one of my other WIPs, or edit my other completed draft... Going to resist the temptation of starting something new, though. My backlog still needs more work. The last couple of Camps didn't go very well, either, so I really want to chose carefully this time.

I did both camps last year, and I intend to do both again this year. I'll be working on The Greenhouse of New Beginnings, a project I'm starting right at this moment, and I plan for it to be at least 330,000 words. I've signed up to do 36,000 of those words during April Camp (but the goal is very flexible at this stage).
My Camp username si RoyLee2002.

Additional question: does anyone know what 'ultra-hyphy' means?

I'm up for April. I'm doing WriYe, so I'll be writing one way or another so it makes sense to have the extra support. I really enjoyed the cabin that I had last April. I found the cozy, chatty atmosphere to be really nice, even if we really didn't discuss writing. July is another story all together because I'll be working at a summer job away from home then. Additional question: does anyone know what 'ultra-hyphy' means? No clue, but according to the urban dictionary "hyphy" means "crunk" stupid, etc. ...Or a high five. You choose.

Siiiiiigh. I always hated the word "crunk." *Cringes at her own generation.* I've never heard "hyphy" before, though.
That said, what makes me cringe even more are the stupid-@$$ words teenagers these days use. "Totes magoats cray-cray." >_>
Yeah, I always enjoyed the chatty and informal atmosphere of Camp. I've always failed dismally at it, though. Seems to be my summer luck. I might try a short story for it, though. I think I want to poke at LWR for the rest of this month, and then do something completely new in April whether or not I finish LWR. (Not abandoning it entirely, though.) Maybe I'll do my steampunk B&TB except-not-quite story then. Or Shatterman. I need something very gloomy to counteract the deleterious effect a surfeit of sunshine has upon my muse.

Slang is strange. I'm thinking of joining. Unsure. The camps seem like they have "procrastination" written all over. I don't know if I need more methods of wasting time I should try once before I judge...I know.

Well, I'm going to do it anyway, even if I fail. Can't hurt. Personally, I like having the graph. :-)
Also, if you have a NaNo account, you don't need to join. Same credentials, and they will already work.

I was leaning in the direction of 'why bother?' but then I saw a thread on indoor camping and realised this is my first year of living somewhere I could have an indoor tent. The scales may have tipped...

Meh. I do it for the writing, and don't usually bother with a tent. Well, I mean, I have no room for a tent. I wonder if I would if I could...hypotheticals.
So, for those who are on the fence about Camp, where would you like to be during April? The year before last, we had AprNoWriMo. Last year, they started Camp in April, but we set up a challenge called Amplecti Insania on NaMayWriMo for those who preferred something more like what we have here, or who wanted to keep in touch with everyone, or who just wanted both challenges. One, do we still want something like that again this year? Given that, I'm debating: set it up on NaMayWriMo again, or set it up on NaNoPlotMo? Preferences?
(I am doing Camp, but if we do AI or something like it again this year, I will be hanging out both places. I tend to neglect my poor Camp Cabin and just use Camp to write, and do all my interaction here.)

The scales may have tipped... That works for me. I don't have room for a real tent, either, but some blankets tossed over chairs in a tent-ish method might work. As long as they are taken down in the evening. And as long as the smores I eat are all virtual and not cooked underneath blankets tossed over chairs. LOL Yeah, I'll give Camp a try. I'm good for whatever other board we all visit on during April. I like our small group Conversations on NaNo get...complicated.

8 days until the start of Camp.
*remembers timezones*
That's probably 9 days for most of you?

Yes, 9 days for me, as Sunday the 23rd is barely a couple of hours old here. This reminds me, I really need to decide what to write for Camp. I've "set up" my novel, but I hardly think a fake title stolen from a metal album and a synopsis of 'ARGLE BARGLE BLAAAARGH' count as a novel.
