If you have seen and played this game last year or not here is how to play it.
^ Answer the question posed by the poster above you. > Say something. Anything. About life, the universe, everything. v Ask a question for the next poster. It doesn't have to be about writing.
^ Nothing
> Though i have planned something to write today.
v What are you going to write this month?

^ Mostly Deus Ex Machina, although I might deviate to work on other bunnies, if they nibble me.
> I keep getting flashes of Dark Arcana. Apparently Aurana wants to trust Ethan, but is unsure if his motives. I am having an #allthefeels motive while watching Star Trek. Also, automatic brain machine life support. Oscar. Psychopath tantrum empathy. Nocharen Sideas abandonment. Pity psychopath Anton Vertigo mistaken kill. Yes, I just used this section to write down my plot marshmallows, because I am that awesome.
v How did you get the idea for what you are writing this month?

^ From one of my dreams that i woke up from.
> I sometimes wake up every night from weird dreams that i have which leads me to not have enough sleep.
v Do you listen to music to help you write and keep focused?

^ All the time, except for when the album ends and after a while I realise I've just been sitting there wearing headphones for no reason.
> There's a duck nesting in the pump-shed over at the dairy. Anyone know if ducks can suffer from industrial deafness?
v Coffee, tea or cocoa? Or, do you prefer something else?

^Tea
> Though i also like to drink cocoa.
v Do you write to get rid of stress?

^Sometimes. I tend to inflict my personal problems on my characters.
>It's snowing where I am, and this morning the plows buried our recycling bins. I'd be mad, but it's our neighbor who does the actual plowing, so I can't.
v Do you prefer to write characters who are the same gender as you, or the opposite gender?
|
|
|

^ The opposite gender. For some reason, I don't find women nearly as interesting to write, and almost every single one of my main characters are, by default, male. I think one of them is female. I mean, I do tend to do things in FMC/MMC pairs, so there is a kind of balance, but I would have to admit that in general the guys are considerably more developed as characters than the girls.
> I'm sitting here listening to metal. Hrothgar's Lantern just word-bombed me. Where did those 750 words that have absolutely nothing to do with any of my other planned stories come from? I am starting to realize that once the muse truly gets going, there is no such thing as a steering wheel. I am utterly at her mercy.
v Do you usually plot first, or pants, or some sort of combination of the two?
|
|
|
Post by marielaurent2223 on Mar 9, 2013 3:13:52 GMT -5
^ I sometimes do a combination of the two.
> When i write my novels or Fanfic novels i plan or pants them depending on enough scenes i can get to write down from my mind or dreams.
v Do you get plots of story ideas from dreams?
|
|
|
Post by eileenk98 on Mar 11, 2013 18:43:47 GMT -5
^Not entire plots, but a few times I've gotten an image I could wrap a story around.
>I am very much a pantser, although I prefer the Writing Excuses term, "discovery writer." I like the idea of discovering things as I go.
vDo you ever write detailed character profiles, only to end up changing everything once the actual story starts?
|
|
|
Post by marielaurent2223 on Mar 11, 2013 20:37:08 GMT -5
^ Sometimes i do other times i don't.
> Though i like writing detailed character profiles that will help me understand my characters better.
v Do you multitask?
